Learning Outcomes

- Articulate the foundational concepts of trauma theory with a focus on individuals in particularly heightened states.
- Understand and implement de-escalation strategies that focus on bottom-up regulation.

Self-Care Plan
Participants reflect on dysregulation within their bodies and how this can be recognised to mitigate the impact on responding to dysregulated individuals effectively.
De-escalation Role-Play
Participants hone their de-escalation skills by engaging with actors in controlled scenarios, focusing on communication, empathy, and safety.
