Sarah, a Special Education Teacher and devoted Edmund Rice Camps volunteer for 25+ years, champions vulnerable youth. With diverse roles spanning mainstream, special, and youth justice education, she tirelessly advocates for children's rights and social justice, ensuring their voices are heard.

Sarah has always been passionate about young people, particularly those identified as vulnerable and on the margins. This is reflected in her formal qualifications as a Special Education Teacher and her commitments as a volunteer with the Edmund Rice Camps community for more than 25 years.

Throughout her professional career, Sarah has sought out opportunities where she has been able to connect with young people and influence them at a more systemic level. Both directly and in a leadership capacity,

Sarah has held teaching positions in mainstream and special schools. Worked with young people with chronic health/illness to support education, worked in adult Guardianship, Out-of-home Care and Youth Justice, Disability and Student Wellbeing.

A strong driver for Sarah is her commitment to social justice and her belief in the rights and entitlements of all children and young people. She advocates strongly, ensuring the voices of young people are heard, and their best interests are the focus of all decisions.
